productoresarenillo

The social policy of the company is the hub of all its development: butterfly farming with rural communities, within the criteria of Sustainable BioTrade.

So from the beginning, we worked with neighboring families to El Arenillo Butterfly Farming and for 2011 we have 17 groups made up of 28 families and 48 people, with support from:

In 2002 the indigenous group Embera Chami (Calima-Darien) was trained in butterfly farming as an alternative to curb the smuggling of insects in that area as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Instituto Alexander von Humboldt and CVC .

From October/2003, ALAS DE COLOMBIA  provides technical advice, training and ongoing support to ensure sustainability with marketing.

¡ We can certainly build Colombia all together!
